s. ayton's voice on oceansounds is like a whale's song carried across multitudes. her voice weaves in and out of the waves, wondering if the sounds you are hearing are your companions or are they to fill your breath and all your cavities you inhabit.
this song is really worth a close listen with a good sound system as the song travels through different forms and surroundings.
Favorite track: oceansounds.
I figured this would be hard hitting so it took me a while to get into a place to listen to the tape, but I'm playing it today for the first time in the sunlight and the breeze and it's so crazy good I'm totally floored
Favorite track: on the sidewalk.
songs about different kinds of loss, grief, letting go and holding on tight.
oceansounds for relaxation, for pretending that you are laying back on a hot rock and you can hear the tide rolling in when you can't sleep, when your body is buzzing.
for nana, for ronnie, for cassandra, for brian.
